Welcome to my blog! Thank you SO much for coming by – and if I haven’t met you in person yet, it is so nice to meet you!
My heart’s desire is for this blog to be a little encouraging reach into your life as I invite you into mine.
The idea of 100 kisses a day came to me when my son Wilder was born. I would cover him with little kisses and whisper, “You’re so loved. You get 100 kisses a day”. This cute but exaggerated expression of love gave me a new thought for treating people in general…
What if we lived life that way? “Overloving” everyone we came into contact with? Doing whatever we could in that moment to make them feel loved? Looking out for their needs instead of just our own?
I am imperfectly seeking to live each day that way, and I hope it inspires and encourages you. Because I invite you to join me.
Some more about me:
I love simple living. Doing instead of having. Savoring experiences instead of stuff.
Genuine conversations unafraid of sharing the good and the bad… Life happens in the journey, doesn’t it?
If you and I were to hang out right now, I’d invite you over to my little mint colored house for coffee and tea on the back porch my husband built. We’d sit hot drink in hand overlooking the pool and palms of Southern California. My little son Wilder Freedom would be crawling around at our feet giggling (ok let’s be honest, he’d be making a mess and causing a ruckus!)
I’m passionate about living an adventurous life. Shaking things up a little. Fleeing the status quo without looking back. The above photo is of Kluane Lake in the Yukon. A place I had wanted to visit since I was a little girl… and that dream came true on a recent roadtrip we took from Seattle, Washington to Anchorage, Alaska. I don’t believe you have to be a world traveler to live adventurously. Sitting on an old quilt under the big oak tree in your front yard with a picnic lunch for your five kids – hey, that’s an adventure too!
Along with loving people and living adventurously, I am also passionate about God’s Word. I believe the Bible has all the wisdom we need for living. One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”
I’m thankful you stopped by! You’re welcome anytime 🙂
