Before we came down to Honduras, Lukas and I hosted a workshop at the McGee House for Skye Hardwick of Work of Heart Photo. If you have never seen her photos you definitely have to check them out! Skye is an amazing children’s photographer who captures the most epic photos.
Children flew in from all over the country to model, and we had a full house of awesome photographers! The last day Wilder and I decided to jump in the fun and got to model as well 🙂 My favorite part was snuggling my little man.
In my Tuesday post, I announced an epic out of the country eight week journey Lukas, Wilder & I will be embarking on in a few weeks. But if you follow me on instagram, you might notice that we are already on an adventure 🙂
This week Lukas & I have been at the McGee House, nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Kentucky. Besides sipping hot coffee in the mornings on the front porch overlooking the gorgeous countryside, and letting Wilder roam free with the country critters, we hosted two fabulous events.
(And don’t worry. Our lives aren’t all butterflies and rainbows. Hosting is alot of hard work including painting, mowing, raking, country yard work, sweat, and sore muscles #reallife 😉 )
The first was a wedding, and the second was a two day workshop for photographers. But it wasn’t just any workshop. We had people flying in from all over the country, and even Canada to learn from Skye Hardwick Edmonds of Work of Heart Photography!
Skye is the most AMAZING children’s photographer I have ever seen, and hosts workshops around the country. Her images are so vibrant and emotional- you have to check them out. And on the last day of the workshop Wilder & I got to model a little bit too! 😀
These photos are just a glimpse of the amazing magic Skye created! Photos by Skye Hardwick of Work of Heart Photography.
The adventure continues!
I just got to Atlanta, Georgia, and am gearing up for the Pursuit Community Conference in just a few days. If you’re going, please let me know so we can meet up!!
Wilder has been an amazing plane buddy, even on one flight without Daddy. He is loving all of this adventuring 🙂 I guess the name Wilder Freedom is fitting him well.
I love traveling, but one thing that I don’t like, is it’s harder for me to have my daily time reading God’s Word and spending thoughtful time with Jesus. Then I easily start getting crabby towards my sweet husband, and not as patient with my little guy. I’m so thankful for God’s forgiveness and that even when we fail Him, if we are His, he doesn’t count our sins and failures against us.
Lately I just can’t get out of Psalm 145. I especially love v. 17-19…
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
I hope these verses encourage you, too!

I loved seeing my talented friend Sabrina working her magic at this wedding! And Dana, I’m so glad we got to meet you!!
