My Story

Two weeks after I graduated high school in a small Kentucky town, I packed up my car with two boxes of clothes, a keyboard, and two guitars, and drove West until I hit the Pacific Ocean.

Fast forward and I’m now married to this handsome stud with two little cutie boys in tow.

Meet Lukas, my hubby. He is truly my best friend, main encourager, and ever since I met him he has inspired me in incredible ways. This guy can do anything!

This energetic little guy is Wilder Freedom, who just turned two and is always making us laugh. He definitely keeps me on my toes with his energy and hilarious conversation. He looooves his daddy.

Just this past October this little sweetie, Cedar Ransom joined our family. I’m still getting used to taking care of two little ones but it’s been great so far!

My husband Lukas & I are photographers and entrepreneurs passionate about life.

Earlier this year we visited Honduras for three months. While we were there, our hearts were burdened by the lack of jobs available to people we met who were simply trying to put food on the tables for their families.

As a result, we opened Wild & Free Supply to create beautiful products & jobs that pay a fair livable wage for our friends in Honduras. Check out the shop here!

I love Jesus, adventure, the ocean, our church, coffee, marriage, palm trees, travel, camping, being spontaneous, creating things, gardens, not necessarily in that order.

But you see, those things are just the little pieces that make up my life. .. they don’t define me.

Want to know what does? Here’s the story.

I was born just like you. Beautiful, but cursed. Cursed because of rebellion against the Holy, Lovely One who created me. But then I was rescued by a man named Jesus. He loved me so much that he exchanged his life for mine-taking the punishment of death that my rebellion deserved, by dying on a cross. You see, all MY bad deeds- my lies, greed, selfishness, every sin- was covered. Jesus took it away at the cross.

He could do it because he wasn’t only a man- He was fully God, the Son of God who was prophesied thousands of years ago by men of old.  He lived a perfect life.

Jesus, the God-man, made a great exchange on the cross – my sin for his holiness and perfection.

He completely took away my sin as he died. But he didn’t just die- he rose from the grave, he came back to life! His victory over death, proclaims that YES indeed my sins are GONE! Because he lives, I can now live in freedom! Freedom from the curse of sin, freedom to obey God!

Jesus rescued me. Now my relationship with the One true God, my Father I formerly rebelled against is completely restored.

My life has many pieces that make it what it is. But when you’ve been rescued like I was, all the other little pieces pale in comparison.

So yes that’s the real story. But the story doesn’t end there. Because Jesus will rescue you from your sin too, if you let him. He didn’t die on the cross just for me, but for any who turn from their sin and believe in him and what he did.

True Peace. Forgiveness. Love. Joy. Restoration. Found in Jesus.

“There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God…But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.  This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe…  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith…” (taken from Romans 3:11-25 NIV)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:16-18)

“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV)
